Gingerkloops likes apples. a lot. His best friend is an apple, yet this has not dissuaded him from his love of eating apples. This is how he learned the meaning of the word "awkward". Mac, his delicious & fruity best friend, loves him anyway. We all have faults after all. Mac is his Gingerkloops' sidekick, and he would follow him anywhere. Much to Gingerkloops' chagrin, Mac insists on only calling him by Roy. It makes Mac giggle. Mac has a cousin named Barry. She's a strawberry who can be quite uptight at times. When Mac and Roy joke about the coincidence of her name and what she is, she doesn't get it. Well, she gets it, but she hates being called "straw-barry".
Gingerkloops also likes the ladies. It's one of the reasons he came to life. He remembers being the last naked gingerbread man on the pan, waiting for the white icing to give him character, just like it did for all of his brothers and sisters. He saw her the first time through his left eye made of the sweet, white icing. There was a pause and some sort of confusion. Knowing that everyone else had two eyes he sensed trouble would soon be coming his way. He'd heard of the awful pain others had endure, the rolling and kneading when things didn't turn out "just right", and became scared. The trash can or the dog's belly seemed to be his fate for being imperfect. But then something happened he didn't expect. Instead of being chucked out, he was adorned. He could see a container marked "marzipan" and two bottles of food dye. Suddenly, there was sight on his right side, but not just normal vision, but a rose colored vision of love. She loved the imperfect gingerbread man, and in turn, he fell in love with her and life. He was not destined to be like the others, violently shoved in a child's backpack, smothered by cling wrap. He was meant for adventure.
